Forests are on fire from a group orcs nearby cutting down the forest to make a secluded and fortified camped near Fultrim Forest
When the forest started to attack them they set it all on fire, accidentally starting a forest fire. The Ents of the wood animated the stumps of the fallen trees to hunt the orks that killed them.
