We headed back out of the house of pain to our small army outside. and proceeded to head back out of the strange mist that surrounded to our safe fort, but to our surprise the land was not as we'd recalled when we passed less than a day earlier, our warrior suspected perhaps we had travelled either in time or space and presumed our fort was no longer present, or perhaps occupied by others.
We made camp and rested a few days, I managed to recover myself with the assistance of magical healing, whilst some of the crew scouted and found a small fortified village nearby, clearly something we had not discovered before and bolstering the premise we were not where we appeared to be.
Venturing back into the manor we took a different route and encountered a gaggle of little demons, who cast spells to cause us to lose hair and unbuckle belts, our dwarf was very annoyed and cut one of them, as they scramble around us our armour came undone, but we quickly dispatched them.
After some time repairing our armour we moved into the house discovering a room of canine-headed people, who seemed happy to wrestle each other and were generally pleasant, Mar Nod chose life for them as we sought their master they told us about.
The master was another dog-headed individual of quite prominent bearing, gracious and courteous, he resided in a grand library, we were allowed to scan some of the books but forbidden to take any without a substantial escrow, we found some magical texts but my discovery of an interesting scroll made good reading.
We uncovered a mystery of sorts, the mist was a hex and it held instructions to lift it, and made us aware the lands around were another place in time, we gathered ourselves and bid farewell to the master, and ventured back out into this strange land to uncover its secrets and allay its curse.
