Thakba had interest in making use of the crew's services, but had a need to check what more they could do before he could put them on anything of particular or note. As a result, he asked them to go and "teach a lesson" to an Aqualish taskmaster at a steel mill operation named Kema Nhile'tt.
Her workplace was just out in the outer edge of Sleheyron's industrial quadrant, some distance away from Thakba's own palace.
On the way they made acquaintances with two figures; one Uya Yowani, a Rodian supplier of weapons and fringer gear in the urban hub not too far from Thakba's palace, and Ean Tarria, a Drell engineer with an expert skill at handling blaster weapon mods. The two were fairly closely tied up, professionally, and more than happy to help the crew.
When they eventually found Kema Nhile'tt, she told them about her own troubles with a man named Hal Qyettin; a Corellian suspected to be the ringleader of some shady dealing trying to press Kema out of her business. Presumably to benefit some third party.
As they investigated Hal Qyettin further, the crew discovered that he was a local operative of the Kawa-Zemke conglomerate. WIth help from a local taxi driver, Loda Baral, the crew planned out and staged a heist of the Kawa-Zemke offices they'd managed to track Hal's operations to.
The heist was successful, all the way up until the end — when alarms were triggered and private security agents descended upon the building. The crew had to escape from the premises in a hurry, and by ways that almost literally broke their backs, though they managed to all extract themselves in one piece. And with one vital piece of information; Kawa-Zemke had a red-thread trail leading right back to their old friend, Bargos the Hutt.
The past time gone by, the crew had been on a streak of sabotage missions executed on behalf of Thakba the Hutt — all of them focused on taking out key installations owned by Bargos' Kawa-Zemke business dealings.
One such mission was a facility on the planet Aikhibba, where the crew and their ship were almost blown apart by a set of sentry droids trailing their escape from their most recent target. They managed to punch in the hyperspace coordinates for Sleheyron and finish the calculations at the last moment; thus saving themselves from an imminent demise.
Back on Sleheyron, Thakba the Hutt rewarded the crew for their work. He had but one mission still in mind that he would like them to engage on, while he took the time elsewhere to prepare for the final blow; a full-on attack against Bargos' own stronghold at Nar Shaddaa.
