South and east of The Bayou, a vast mangrove swamp extends for scores of leagues. In addition to the main channels of the Skull River the swamp is crisscrossed with a maze of countless small channels that are almost impossible to map and difficult to navigate except for the swamp folk born in this land. There are rumors that hidden villages of swamp folk exist in the depths.
