No one knows where Brother Castaway originally came from though is he clearly Curari from the facial tattoos), or how he found his way to Abbey of St. Claire. All Father Paulus knows is he found the young man washed up on the side of the river one morning, half drowned, hideously beaten and mostly dead.
After being nursed back to health he joined the monastery, taking the name "Brother Castaway".
