Crabtalker is a master of a form of giant magic called "Shellspeaking" which allows him to befriend giant crabs and use them as mounts. His giant crab, DeathPincer, typically hitches a ride on Crabtalker's sloop, clinging to the stern. During land battles, he mounts the crab, wielding his giant sized cannon
The prisoners also spoke in some awe of Crabtalker's mighty cannon, such giant sized weapons seeming still at least somewhat rare among the giants (praise Mithras).
