Clustered around the base of the mountain along the road are a cluster of seven buildings. The road leads straight the buildings and out the other side. eventually disappearing into a large tunnel bored in the base of the mountain about a half mile away. The road leading toward the mountain seems to have been fitted with wooden rails. The rails seem to have been designed to fit wooden mine carts, you can see several of them overturned on the road.
You can also see a smaller road branching off from the main track and winding it's way up the flank of the mountain.
Immediately surrounding the buildings are various engines, furnaces and other contraptions. Some of the engines are large, some three stories tall, covered in pipes and metal tubing, others appear to be large ovens made of iron. Some sport windvanes similar to what you would see on windmills, complete with huge millstones.
Further away, the flat scrubland is dotted with large circular depressions. These depressions are around twenty feet in diameter, only a foot or so deep, and are perfectly round, flat, and utterly barren, completely devoid of plant life. There are dozens of these circles scattered around the outskirts of the small settlement.
