As the name suggests, this neighborhood is home to the city’s largest park – Dashmore Park. The park itself is home to various animals, wild lands as well as foot paths. It is also the scenic setting for two of the city’s largest temples one devoted to Modella and the other to the Tee-hi faith. There are also some ancient ruins believed to be from the earliest colonial times. Many of the cities inhabitants some to High Park to escape the intensity of the urban jungle and spend some time in nature, nature far less dangerous than the nature they could find in the deep swamp. Park Wardens patrol the neighborhood along with the police and animal control.
