Little is known about the land of Tharn. It is home to a sentient insect like race known as Recond. There largest urban center is referred to in their language simply as Hive. The Recond aren’t thought to have a religion in the way that the other people’s of the known world appear to do but their collectivist beliefs seem to have an almost spiritual significance for them. Few Recond, other than those sent out as ambassadors, live outside of Tharn and visitors to the state are strictly forbidden.
