The winding mechanism moves but does not move the hands. When wound fully the five fingers open fully extended. If a character slaps a target fully on the face with the open palm of the hand, the target instantly vanishes. This is considered a Melee attack and does no damage. Technically, they move forward in time. At the same time, the fingers close back into a fist and the watch begins ticking at a normal rate. When the hands reach 2:25 (after 12 hours) again, the original target reappears in the spot where they disappeared.
