While holding this shield, you have a +1 bonus to AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC.
When you take the shove action with a shield, you may choose to reduce the AC bonus granted by the shield by 1 and add one of the following additional effects:
Spray. You haphazardly expel your blood in a 15-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a Dexterity saving throw or take 2d8 necrotic damage.
Invade. You direct your blood to pierce your target's flesh and attack their mind. They must make a Wisdom saving throw or take 2d8 psychic damage and cannot take reactions until the end of its next turn.
Coat. You splash your blood on your foe, letting its icy chill sap away their lifeforce. They must make a Constitution saving throw or take 2d8 cold damage and have their movement speed reduced by 10 until the end of its next turn.
Blind. You surround your enemy with a torrent of your blood. They must make an Intelligence saving throw or take 2d8 radiant damage and be blinded until the end of its next turn.
The AC of the shield is restored at the end of a long rest.
Curse. When an attack against you misses, roll a d4. On a 4, you take 2 necrotic damage.
