Setting sail at long last, The Raven Shield board the Jackdaw and meet its crew. After learning the ropes, Lorenzo and Silvayn explore the ship, while Luciano Vanitoso is out of action due to seasickness.
Meeting with one of the so-called horizon merchants, Captain Rylgar takes the party aboard the ship of Tanish, a Lizardfolk merchant. Negotiations turn violent as Rylgar suddenly draws a blade, and the party kill several guards in self-defense. Rylgar reveals his true goal: to find the dealers who supplied a former crewmate, Lynara, with a dose of the dangerous drug known as Emerald. His drunken presence in Eastport was part of a ruse to get information - information he acquired, and now acted upon.
Facing off against a second ship in naval combat, the Jackdaw emerges victorious and continues on its journey once more.
