Ortenk

Ortenk manifests as an androgynous being of green light, with a veil of hanging sterling silver tools and instruments that clatter together like a windchime in the breeze suspended from a wide brimmed hat with a glowing skull in the middle. Their walk is with a floating tome and quill, maraccas in hand or hidden up a festive kimono shirt with a long form half skirt sown in the style of a flamenco dancer with a marvelously decorated  pant leg showing from the other side down to some platform shoes. Their quill feather emanates floating imagery that is emotionally significant to the soul viewing it.

Symbol: Decoratively painted skull with a scythe dripping ink behind it overlaying a piece of parchment in the background. The scythe represents final will of the pen, as the ink on parchment records the will - while the paint upon the skull represents each different aspect to a person.

Mandatory for clerics upon entering a religious site, cemetery, or crossroads, or perhaps any civilization for the first time requires them to spend a day walking the burial sites. As they go they must record the identity of each gravestone that is left without some memorial offering and seek out the closest relatives to the dead, and if none are close by then they must prepare some small offering for the dead.

Clerics of Ortenk show worship by giving company and burial rites to those that have recently lost someone, writing paper talismans and hanging them up to make a path towards a blessed burial site, or ritualistically blessing the memorabilia left on gravestones.

Their psychopomp followers always wear the dancing garb of their native cultures in life and all carry a folded scythe disguised as some form of accessory. The decision of where the soul goes is left to the soul itself under a trial, overviewed by Ortenk/ one of their psychopomps. These Psyhopomps might be adorned in a symbol - a decoratively painted skull overlaying a scythe in the background whose blade drips with ink. The scythe represents final will of the pen, the final write off - while the paint upon the skull represents each different aspect to a person.

The Actual Mortals of Ortenk Robes of green, gold, and black. They often hold a quill with a curved arch and scythe accompanying a sombrero lined with trinkets of thankful offerings and some from lost souls, small tokens gifted by those who received a fortune or last token of remembrance to those that passed. 

Souls who perish are guided to the realm of Wa-Fuhai (Wa-foo-hi). A land of 5 connected islands suspended above the waters of Styx 

The decision of where the soul goes is left to the soul itself under a trial, overviewed by Ortenk/ one of their psychopomps. A soul is given the duty to find the one material object amongst the 5 isles of Wa-Fuhai that represents each of the senses and the wondrous experiences that lead them to the end that brought them here.

After a soul is given this task, various objects come aglow as they walk the hills and valleys of memories reforged. Touching these objects will bring color to the gray soul in parts. If a soul is able to repaint the canvas of their soul they achieve a resting peace and may wander all isles or even have the honor of returning to the land of he living  with the due process under Ortenk's permission. if they fail to find all the color from life, they are stuck on one of the isles to forever search for what they have lost.

Interactions with the dead follow strict rules as determined by Ortenk and his followers. The unritualistic drawing of a soul from Wa-Fuhai may bring the person back as they were for a time, but leave too many colors of their soul in the land of the dead. This causes the souls to decay in whatever form or vessel they have, forcing the person to hunt the living to make up for what they have left behind or lacked in the first place.
