COMBINING SPECIAL ITEMS
If you cook with multiple special items that affect the same stat, the bonus increases from +1 to a maximum of +3. If you use special items that affect different stats you subtract 2 from the cooking roll for every different type of material used. You can only use 3 special materials per meal.
With feat:
No matter what feat or additional magic items you have, when using special ingredients you will make an additional stand alone roll to see if you have successfully integrated the special ingredients. If this fails the food is still good to eat but you gain no extra bonuses and the food is used up.
You can tell you have a specialty item when the following adjectives are used in the item name:
strength | Robust, hearty |
dex | Sleek, velvety, sweet |
con | Tough, earthy |
Wis | Herbal, fresh |
Int | Savory, sharp, tart |
cha | Marble, zesty, spicy |
For buying special ingredients:
Str, = 100 gp
con = 200 gp
Int cha= 300 gp
Dex wis= 400 gp
Be wary of knock offs or expired ingredients. They will have the opposite effects even if they are properly prepared.
