Of the named guards, Tophna, Kealdrick, and Kalkatesh are 3 of his 8. Volvidon has successfully slain a mutated snake through runic mines he planted around the Orphanage.
The orphanage once enjoyed field trips to different Draconic Clans territories to provide kids exposure for better learning. This is discontinued under Volvidon's directive. There must be 2-3 kids to warrant a field trip with a guard joining them now, and a guard accompanies students anywhere within the orphanage. Furthermore, dogtags are given to family members and kids - presumably for a door installed in the orphanage's center hall necessary for travel to most of the building. Volvidon doesn't eat with the kids, he only stops trying to eat with the rest of staff on nights when he's busy or if something's angered him.
The blinds are sometimes drawn short, with alarmspells active. The office has a silencing field present. Any kid caught in the bedroom or office is immediately expelled.
Rotating staff of 8 guards; 2 by the front and the remaining six join the orphans during daily routines. Some go outside, some in.
He is far too careful with security of the Eshire Orphanage, and genuinely does not want the kids caught in the crossfire between Draconic Clans. Volvidon will likely unironically treat the kids like an adult, leading to scaring some to tears or gaining respect from others like Vos. He has been making the kids do drills each day as well.
One morning, Volvidon was carrying mail as he helps with morning class assembly. He gave a heartfelt speech about growing muscles and minds here. While the diction and poise is militaristic, he's not actually pushing towards forcing education for the betterment of military practices but for yourselves an future endeavors for whichever clan that they choose to go for. He excuses himself eventually into the teacher's office.
Volvidon hasn't been taking care of the plants here. Looking towards the photo too-large to be sitting on the countertop... I see what looks to be a class photo-esque thing going on with multiple dragonborns and half dragon species, some human-blessed sub-dragon species as well. I see a roster of kids young to old, all standing around with, in the center, two amethyst gem-scaled dragonborn in the middle. One much older, one teenager most likely RELATED to that older adult gem-scaled dragonborn.
In one scene, the guards get up, prep weapons, an go on their patrol. As they exit, second shift comes in with Kalkatesh and the unfortunate entryway guard who the name "Talphon" as his first name. He'll try to lay the mac on Kalkatesh. Despite being a douchebag, he's smooth. Kalkatesh blushes some as, sure, I'll make up whatever excuses toget close. Mayhaps this purehearted lady might be getting swayed. Talphon is rather adept at keeping the desires at bay just to come off as a swell and gentlemanly guy. Humblebragging at weekly mock battles and how he came out first, out of all guards. Discover Volvidon doesn't participate in those, but one of the other female guards tries to cockblock Talphon an remind how VOlvidon is far more powerful an could lay the smack down - he doesn't compete as it isn't fair.
She's able to interrupt now to get inbetween Talphon and his target.
