As Arelia questions Ortenk on WHY he decided to drop her off in the care of this Drow, Ortenk's Avatar arises from the junkyard of lost dreams and possibly muses on the unnecessary use of morality for gods. Fate is all about choices and insurances. He can reveal to the players some of Arelia's backstory, her choice to go to hell, her choice to place ALL of her faith in PEOPLE that she may or may not have known intimately - and how that gambled played out. He is CURVED her fate to walk alongside one who is NOT one to put ALL of her faith in people. One who has succeeded in ensuring her fate. He does NOT guarantee that Arelia's fate lies either with Eilistraee or Lolth, but just in her decisions and her preparations. This has made Amallika Kazzanika the most cautious Drow this side of the Bonecrown Archipelago and even now she pushes to get greater social clout as sheriff.
