Individuals (and sometimes families) touched by the power of the divine realm and born to serve as champions of the gods. They are easily identifiable by their otherworldly visages and are often compared to angels.
There are 3 different types of aasimar. Scourge aasimar are imbued with a divine energy that blazes within them and overflows during battle, radiating bright light from their eyes and mouth. Protector aasimar unleash their divine energy in the form of luminous, feathered wings that allow them to fly. The last type, fallen aasimar, are different from the others. Those who have been touched by dark powers or turned to evil are cursed with skeletal, ghostly wings and have been cut off from communication with their celestial guides.
