Location: Velkynvelve
Party are prisoners at a drow outpost, and they will soon be sold off as slaves
- fed once a day, poorly; those who have been here a few days are tired and weak
- Party & fellow prisoners learn a bit about each other, though they don't have proper introductions
- Eldeth breaks up fights between Ront and Derendil
- Skjorn tries and fails to flirt with passing guards
begin quests: Escape from Velkynvelve & Escape from the Underdark
Party starts arguing about an escape before guards come to retrieve them for daily manual labor
- they bring back some useful items and slowly break everyone free from their manacles
- once freed, Junior dances excitedly and plops itself in Sarith's lap
- Zaz kindly encourages Ront to help, who shouts in celebration when he succeeds
Jorlan watches this unfold and waits until they finish to confront them
- he offers to help them escape by leaving the cell unlocked, but he will do nothing more than this
- when asked, he says his motivation is that he's questioning his position in his society
in the morning, everyone is woken by the sounds of demons swooping in and attacking each other
- the drow rush to defend the outpost, thoroughly distracted
- Jorlan unlocks the cell and urges Party to leave and be careful of the demons
Party enters the barracks and steals some items from the armory
- Sarith is carrying Junior
- Ront is afraid of the swinging bridges, but he is more afraid of the demons rampaging nearby
Party enters the shrine and encounters Asha
- Dibrael and Zaz slip into the room below and obtain Party's belongings
- Asha knocks out Mylz in battle
- Skjorn flees and asks the fellow prisoners for help; Ront and Sarith step forward
- Dibrael and Zaz collaborate to tie up Asha
- Ront carries the unconscious Mylz
- Sarith hangs back to privately speak to Asha in Elvish; he comes out dissatisfied
