Vex is the youngest and closest to Gashin.  All other family members besides Vex are Golden Light/Spirit Kitsune

Family lives in Nestora

One day Vex was out alone when they were abducted and used in an attempt to make the perfect assasin.  Vex was augemented with tech to increase his sense, a cybernetic arm which contains a whip, cybernetic eyes & a compartment concealed in each thigh for carrying hidden weapons and other items.  This process restricts Vex's ability to shift forms fully so now they can only shift between animal and hybird forms.  Unhappy with this result, their captives removed his tail in order to allow them to blend in easier.

Before being sent on their first mission, Vex escaped but rather than return to their family for aid, stays away in shame for their lack of tail.

Now Vex covers himself almost completely except for their chest and abdomen as they are the only parts that can pass for human
