Wren grew up in the world/land of the Unseelie fae. While growing up the horrors of what they were doing were hidden from the children until the leaders decided to tell the children who showed the most promise. Wren never showed this promise and did not discover that her people were hurting others until it was far too late.
Wren grew up showing qualities of the Seelie fae- she was always saving animals and helping creatures, even going out of her way to save a small hare. The leaders of her clan noticed this and chose to keep her away from the harm they were committing. One day Wren was going about her day when she noticed small horrors, that then led to even more grotesque things.
Wren decided she needed to get out, to run away- as she packed a small bag, she turned to look at her home one final time, as she spun back around to leave she was struck by the most beautiful, calm voice telling “Leaving is the correct choice, leave now- but do not forget. You must come back. You must survive and return to help later.” Wren with tears in her eyes and hope in her heart then escaped to the town of Lowdale.
