The Order of the Silver Leaf was founded in Emberwood. Though the Owlbears City is known for it's mastery of medicine, the world remains a dangerous place, and some residents recognized a need to take others under wing to guard them.
They are the shield that defends the woodland realms of man and beast; rangers, scouts, and knights alike find higher purpose in protecting the innocent as a part of the Order of the Silver Leaf.
Their creed is such:
I am the shield that guards the realms of beast and men.
I will serve no queen nor king, but the people.
Where an axe is swung, I will plant seeds.
Where eyes are clouded, I will pour water.
I will offer drink to the thirsty, food to the hungry, and hope to the despairing.
Where the lone wolf finds death, I will stand with the pack.
