History
- The first X-Com ships were the Faulke-Class. This was a ship design that has been the mainstay of the X-Com Fleet, given upgrades over time. They fill the role of Picket Defense/Destroyer/Light Cruiser with no FTL Drive. X-Com built 5 in time for New York, with three of those lost in battle or heavily destroyed by the Zintraedi. Currently, 12 are in service.
- Some time after New York (2010+), the Aegis class was built and designed. Before 2009, X-Com had built 5 Faulke-Class Ships, with a secret shipyard in Antarctica. By 2009, all 5 had been built and were in service. After 2010, X-Com was able to switch construction to a new facility in Upstate New York.
- By 2012, the I.X.S. Aegis was under construction and finished by 2015, being put fully into service.
- By 2015, the designs for a new Cruiser-class had been drawn up, meant to be a heavy weapons platform. I.X.S. Retribution and I.X.S. Domination were placed under construction and launched by 2016.
- 2018, crossover event to another Earth, had Arielle Ravenshire return with ANOTHER I.X.S. Aegis. This ship was renamed to I.X.S. Rampart.
- 2022, I.X.S. Intrepid, a joint-project by X-Com and Damocles, had launched.
- 2023, by then the Lexington class, with Lexington and Saratoga, had fully launched.
- X-Com likely has a freighter-type as well, for cargo and mining in space.
- By 2024, X-Com would have 12 Faulke-Classes, 5 Aegis-Classes, 7 Leonidis-Classes, 1 Intrepid-Class and 2 Lexington-Classes.
