Earth-971 and Hydaelyn

Where is Hydaelyn?

Hydaelyn, also designated as Dimension 1572, sits six hundred and one dimensional 'units' from Earth-971. As such, this pushes it outside the 1,000 Unit 'Dominion' of the Primals and Abyssals, known as the 'Primal Universe Cluster' which extends from Dimensions 471 to 1471, and into the 'Universe Cluster of the Twelve', which range from Dimensions 1472 to 1672 and fall within the Domain of the 'Twelve', including several iterations of history and events (Which would encompass all past, present and future FF and Square Enix series games). 

Crossovers

Crossovers happen due to small breaches and tears, formed by a singular, dimension hopping entity, called Gilgamesh to the locals of the Universe Cluster of the Twelve. These dimensional holes, aggravated by the destruction of the moon Dalamud. This caused a spatial wave across dimensions, breaking open holes that allow some to slip through, usually by Recall spells interrupted with arcane blasts, to accidently be propelled outside their Universe Cluster and end up elsewhere.

What happens to one crossing over...

First off, we should be clear this is a one-way trip. The sheer amount of magical power needed to go back is immense and the spell would tear a body apart. The process of how they got over here in the first place, was an accidental overcharge of a teleport spell, with a dimensional tear having drifted into the 'middle' of the teleport's destination and origin points.

The character in transit, will end up in some random location on Earth, with the year to be determined in storyline negotiations. We allow some wiggle room due to the timeline inconsistencies of the source material (FF14) but it is best, a character has arrived no more than either the present day or up to three years ago (2021). No character should of arrived before the Red Storm Event (2019/2020).

Characters arriving, are usually within 72 hours, contacted by X-Com. This will usually be a plains clothed worker in X-Com's 'Xeno Welfare' Division (Think an Alien form of Immigration), flanked by 2-4 X-Com Soldiers from the Military Division.  What follows will be various questions, and a determination of intent. Assuming said character is benign/non-hostile, X-Com gives them a form of a 'Xeno Visa', like an Alien Green Card, and some money to get them started and info how to contact X-Com and request a Case Worker. Provided the character never does anything that warrants the attention of state police or a government agency, then X-Com will never bother them again.

Said character will have trouble however with magic. Earth has less magic energy, and a different set of Gods. Any spells dependent on divinity will not work as you are no longer in the same 'area code' as the Twelve. Earth has less magic, and it is best to think of spells as burning magic, as exercise burns oxygen. The difference of magic levels on the FF14 world and Earth, are the same wide gap as the difference in oxygen levels on Earth and Mars.
