Residents: Very sparsely inhabited with no standout ancestry. Few small towns/encampments

Ido is an almost entirely barren landscape, given the heavy influence of the death leyline. If it were not home to the strongest metals and minerals on Aeternia, it would be entirely uninhabited, but small bands of hearty miners dot the landscape, digging our their fortune. Braving the freezing cold, dryness, and near uninhabitable conditions, many have died trying to become the next success story.

Korda itself is hardly what one would see as a capitol city and mostly a gathering hub and market for those on Ido. Supplies, food, and entertainment are the shopping list of many who visit this market city, carved out in the side of a granite mountain. 

Aside from the mining operations, a few archeological digs have begun to pop up on Ido recently, with the discovery of artifacts that match no known culture on Aeternia. Nobody is quite sure what they are discovering, but most experts believe they have stumbled upon a previously unknown civilization that lived on Ido long ago. Others claim some far more fantastical explanation, from visitors from another plane to life before any known on the planet. These theories are usually discarded by the greater community, given the lack of evidence.
