Cornix the Beaker

Reborn in Fire, Thrice-Born
Player Character

Cornix came into the world alone, and that is how he has spent the majority of his life.

Ever since he manifested in a long-abandoned graveyard, almost competely overtaken by nature, somewhere on the far edge of civilisation, Cornix dedicated himself to the Art. His approach to it is more spiritual, esoteric and occult than most of the other alchymists', and is at times primal and druidic. When he started stumbling upon other people (or they started stumbling upon him deep in the woods), he developed a quaint fascination with the relentless gears of society, culture and community.

Despite still being a reclusive loner, he ventured farther and farther from his nest, until he found himself exploring the world, building relationships, learning languages and traditions, and most importantly, expanding his knowledge of Alchymy, as well as his vast collections of trinkets and artifacts of either aesthetic, or occult significance. This is also when he found Pavo, his companion and friend, whom he saved from certain death by using the complexities of the Art, and who now follows him to his grave as a wispy familiar.

In this brave New World, he expects to continue his pursuits. What new peaks of Alchymy are there to explore? What new mysteries to unravel? What treasures to claim and study? What cultures to discover? Is there a place for an Alchymical Guild in the First Landing, and beyond? Or perhaps a commune of his kind? And maybe, just maybe, this is where he could learn anything about his past identities as one who walks upon the path that the gloomy dusk offers to those who were chosen by the deities of death.

- Cornix doesn't know when he was born exactly, so his age is an educated guess, and his birthday was chosen by him, selecting a Pharasmin festival, the Day of Bones.
