Loose Threads: Dio lives; more possible shapeshifters; infiltrated Guild

The group decided to head towards the Kobold Village to see if they needed any further assistance, partway there the group discovered a gravely wounded Unknown named Tovu. He informed the group that he was attacked by a lizardman and supposedly one of the Guild scouts. Upon hearing they fled east we were assaulted by Unknown and some sea creature. We quickly traveled following the tracks to an outpost in a rocky ruin near the eastern coast. We encountered a lone scout with a bow much too small for standard issue, apparently a gift from the Kobolds and their group had been driven off by something. It turns out our suspicions of a traitor was correct, as they revealed themselves, naming themselves Dio and summoning Undead to hold us off and disappearing apparently invisible.
Later tracking them, we discovered they had placed a powerful illusion to create a swamp in our sights, thankfully Seiko no Megumi was able to call to her deity and the illusion was expunged. We were also given a direct path to our target, at another destroyed campsite.
The one known as Dio pulled the same ruse again, this time telling us of how his friend had been attacked by a face stealer, but our paranoia had us attack first. The group was engulfed by a blast of negative energy similar to a Fireball and I unfortunately nearly vaporized on the spot... the others have filled in that the combat was dire, I was sent back along with Dolen Harven. The fate of the other two was that they were left drained of some blood and without horses or Recallers. This hints that they may be working with others who need a more accurate guise. This entity is still on the loose, proceed with caution.
