GUILD STANCE

There was a wide variety of proposals but, in the end, the Council opted for a Stance that doesn't compromise the Guild's attitude towards the conflict:

"Take a neutral stance in the war, allowing refugees and victims from both sides to flee to the lands around First Landing and condemning the war, without taking up arms against any of the perpetrators. Offer diplomatic aid, negotiating with any or either groups, and allowing individual parties to take up arms to defend themselves against aggression, but without declaring war against either side."  Reiko Amiri

From this point forward, or until an unresolved Crisis or a New Issue arises, adventurers cannot willfully fight in this war under the banner of the Coalition or the rest of  the involved factions. The Guild will encourage diplomatic actions that help de-escalate the conflict or tend to those in need of humanitarian aid.

A faction born by necessity and desperation, as numerous folk are being displaced by the advance of two other aggresive forces: the Republic of Jagriarius, and Olog's Pact, a.k.a. The Horde. A decentralized amalgamation of diverse ancestries, mainly Unknown and Unknown. Established at the other end of one of the newly activated portals that lead towards the Unexplored Continent.

They seem to live in rural villages spread beyond the Whistle-Crags to the southwest, to the north between Dryhaven and Gildenwind, and further towards the unexplored east.

Although understandably concerned about strange humanoids coming through a magic door that was previously dormant, the Refugees at the Roanokae Camp (currently lead by Ajan and Raket) have stayed on good terms with most adventurers from the Explorers' Guild. Since then, we've provided food and supplies, as well as medical assistance and help in battle.

We still don't know much about their culture(s). Some of them seem to believe in a higher power, a sun god, a "Bright Star"; and draw power from the divine. We do, however, know that though Gnolls and Catfolk might have their individual languages, a tongue commonly referred to among guildmembers as "Escapee's Tongue" is one commonly used between both ancestries.
