Locations: First Landing, Millennium Forest, Elemental Portal Shrine
Full report:
Seeing a Unknown child trip and faceplant into the streets of First Landing, scattering letters from a small cart, a few nearby adventures helped. Bantering a little between them, they learned that letters needed to be delivered to the Mephits at the Elemental Portal Shrine and to King Aseron from the Millennium Forest.
The strangers formed up a party and decidex to head first to the Elemental Portal Shrine, and then to the Millenium Forest. Jack offered to rent some horses for the venture, heading over to the stables while the party prepared to head out via the southern gate.
They were eventually joined by a Halfling Gunslinger, and a stable boy switched out some of the horses for ponies more suited to the size of Neri and Nernis. The trip through the thawing landscape was unremarkable, with nothing worth of notice interrupting their horseback travel.
The party made it to Elemental Portal Shrine late in the day, learning some basic info about the area from one of the many Guild members stationed in the area. Maerwynn ov Irnsgrid took care of the horses, stabling them while Jack turned over the letter to the Air Mephit.
The Mephits decided to use the party to "find out which element is the best" by sending the party a strange desert ruin area via the portal. There they were challenged by a batlike creature, presumably representing the air element, and a literal pile of burning garbage. Jack managed to do a flurry of strikes before a pile of burning garbage turned its wrath towards him and gave him a proper trashing.
Once the encounter was finished, the party was sucked up and sent back to the Elemental Portal Shrine. The Mephits offered no apologies, accepted the invite to the tournament and left.
The party stumbled upon a hut in the forest. Deciding to knock at the door, they found the wooden Fey Knight. He suggested taking down the Fey bandits that were lurking in the forest and killing First Landing citizens. With Mae and Nernis as bait, they pulled off an ambush. Jack used explosive leap to soar towards the flying Pixie leader and grapple him to the ground, then together they wiped out the remaining Mitflits. The wooden knight returned with 41 wooden rings from the rest of the bandit gang, giving them to the party. The party then proceeded to heal up and camp for the day.
The party made it to King Aseron and showed proof of the Fey bandits' demise. The exchange was very short, and Aseron was sparse with both words, praises and action, but accepted the invite letter all the same. The party kept both the sacked Pixie and the 50 wooden rings then used their recallers to return to First landing.
