Fledgling adventurers gather at the Explorers' Guild Hall to take on a quest, a monster slaying quest at that. A monster had been reported attacking scouts in Millennium Forest. After they meet up and introduce themselves, a mysterious and wounded figure approaches them. Lo and behold, it was person who put in the quest, Bodum Bokad. Him and his party were set upon by a massive and dangerous creature. It set upon them so fast that he didn't get a good look. Although, he does tell them that one of the injured survivors could give them more information. The party goes to visit this person, a Unknown named Phil. When they visit, they are given even more grisly details of the encounter. Much of his party had been outright killed.
After learning as much as the party could, they head out to the forest that was their destination. After some travel, the party gets no lead whatsoever. That was until, the brambling beast came rushing at them, trampling the entire party. Some more hurt than others, they decide to heal up instead of outright attacking the creature. Gathering their senses, they follow the trail of fallen trees and find the creature. A massive mushroom creature keeping a lone puppy captive. The party makes a plan and attacks. Cera Fohlstein and Argug are on the front lines, while Vain and Bruzmal provide cover fire. The party put up a good fight. Argrug being the only one that is hurt. The encounter ends with Vain's eidolon Judgie, eats a patch of mushrooms that are linked to the creature, killing it instantly. Job done. Beast slain. They party divides up the loot and heads back.
