Ampella is the owner and barkeep of 'The Winding Witness', a tavern in Visage. She is a grapevine-covered Unknown, and her bonded tree is the main support around which the rest of her tavern is coiling around. She has a battalion of Leshies, Dryads, dexterous flora, and even lesser Arboreals, who help her with her job as a boniface.
Her mask appears to be made of the same wood as the rest of her body, and emulates her real features very well, including facial expressions. It is comfortably snuggled on her face, held in place by tiny branches and leaves.
Ampella helped the party with their investigations during the quest All Work and No Play, when she was also encountered for the first time. At the end of that quest, she offered them free accommodations for the night, and helped organise the celebrant party that crowned their success. She is in particular fond of Kakkariel and Saorie Tylmae; for the latter, she promised to spread the word about the Scry, as well as the papers themselves, for local Fey to read.
Ampella was later encountered again, during the quest Taste the Rainbow, when she participated in Meridian's Midday Meal Mayhem event as the leader of the Eleutherian team.
