Rhuz once belonged to a tribe of lizardfolk, living secluded in the deserts of the Old World. The young hatchling was feared ever since the day of his hatching by others in the village, believing his unnatural scale colouration was a bad sign. Rhuz did not receive help from the old astrologer, who instead added fuel to the fire by telling the populace of evil omens in the skies on the day of Rhuz's hatching. After reaching fifteen years of age, making him an adult in the tribe's eyes, he was swiftly banished from his birthplace.
Rhuz spent years wandering the desert, forests, and other biomes, rarely, if ever, staying in one place for long. Living off of what the land provided made him a skilled forager and an experienced tracker. In short order, he became a bounty hunter, finding that kind of work thrilling, and it also allowed him to be constantly on the move. However, it was not sustainable, and as contracts were drying up on the bounty boards, he thought deeply about his future.
No legacy would be left behind after his death. His name, Rhuz, would be forgotten - just as his tribe would want it. And so, Rhuz, the scorned lizardfolk and a long-time bounty hunter, could no longer stand the current trajectory of his life. Hearing the quickly spreading news of a New World and the first brave men and women who ventured there, he knew what he had to do.
