Peter Kitsuné

Peter Kitsuné doesn't talk much about his past. Some people might remember him arriving in the Old World in mysterious circumstances, with no idea how he got there or where he was. He actually isn't native to the Old World, but rather comes from another world named Furth. On Furth he received an ancient curse, which would eventually kill him, or worse.

Soon after arriving in the Old World, Peter rescued an injured she-wolf cub that he found. He named the wolf Akira, a name that means "Morning Sun". Some might find it strange that a wolf and a kitsune would become friends, but friends they became.

In time, Peter signed up for the adventuring guild and went through the Portal into the New World. The first thing he discovered was the magic - thick enough he could almost taste it. The second thing he noticed was that his curse was gone. Or - not gone. But suppressed. Something about the New World meant the curses of Furth didn't function here, or something.

Now, having gained a primal connection to Akira's mind, the two are willing to go into battle together with some strangers, and fight foes together that cannot be fought alone. And maybe even make some new friends?

Either way, it looks like they're going to have a good time here in the New World, Beyond the Portal.

Peter spent a long time in First Landing just going to The Blinking Pug and chatting with the people he finds there. However, after a while he speaks to a person named Hakuto, who talks of some caves under a nearby mountain chain. Peter buys some necessary supplies, including a bow and arrow in case he has to fight enemies at a distance, and meets up with a group of people (Hakuto, Sauda, Neithan, and Husk). However, it transpires that the Guild told them that those caves were already well explored, so the group were going to explore an unnamed river to the north of the Avis River.

The group leave the First Landing Port, and sail round the island to the Drop-off Point in the Avis River basin. They walk north through the delta, and camp at its northern edge, before getting set upon by giant crabs in the night. After a tough fight, in which Akira is nearly killed twice, the crabs are killed or driven off.

The next day, they reach the Silent Forest, finding an art gallery haunted by the ghosts of elves. Hakuto's hand must have been guided by the gods, because he found a way to set their spirits to rest with a figurine he was carrying.

The journey through the Silent Forest proceeds without incident, before hearing the sounds of battle on the far side. It is too late to be able to help, so the group sets up camp, and fortunately nothing befalls them that night.

In the morning, they head out to investigate, and find a battlefield littered with the corpses of kobolds and some sort of aquatic human. The group is attacked by doru (apparently a kind of fiend), before they reach the river. They go upriver slightly, into the desert, and find an island with a makeshift house on it. The house contains a fiend with one glowing blue eye, who goes full aggro on Peter, because he is the most handsome of the group (apparently that kind of fiend hate beauty). There also is another doru there.

Both the blue eyed fiend and the doru are killed, the group ventures further upriver and encounters a flying snake. They then return home using their recallers, and name the river the Desert's Belt.
