Participants: Daisy Mona, Freddie, Max, Nasdac, and Rakku
Locations: Millennium Forest
Short summary:
We journeyed to the Millennium Forest in order to discover more about the toothy flower that had taken root there. Due to a few complications, we ended up setting that original priority aside in order to return a stolen stick to the leshies we met on the way to the arena. We did end up returning the lost stick to the leshies, and they rewarded us for our trouble.
Full Report
Full Report:Five adventurers took a collective interest in following up on a previous report regarding the presence of the toothy flower infesting the Fey Arena, and initially set out to uncover its nature as well as the general going-ons of the area. Our travels were pleasant until we were met with a surprise attack by a creature who later identified itself as Shanksbeard. After we had proven our mettle, Shanksbeard provided us with more information about the arena and the ritual that was to happen there. It involved an entity named "The Slumbering Queen," and the purpose of the fights were to perform, in a way, for her awakening. We eventually moved on past that interaction, and stumbled upon a Quickling playing keep-away with a stick against two leshies. We intervened with varying success.
However, after I, Nasdac, mistakenly fired a shot with the intent to kill during a decidedly non-lethal interaction, one of the leshies with information about the Fey Arena became distraught when the bully we had been attempting to apprehend fled. We chased it through parts of the Millennium forest, even stumbling upon a portal with an innate connection to the Dimension of Dreams that was too small to walk through but powerful enough to obtain some of its energy while in close proximity. I opted not to do so; You can never be too sure with curiosities like those.
Eventually, we came upon the quickling hideout in the middle of a lake. I'm regretful to report that our brief delays during our pursuit of the quickling by the name of Monty gave him time to prepare for our arrival. At the lake, we fought not only Monty, but another quickling and an aquatic creature that resembled a sting ray. The house upon the water became integral to most of the fight, and we more-or-less made our way there while attempting to flush out the quicklings within. They had, to our knowledge, attacked with more intensity than what would be expected of a silly joke or extended game of keep-away, so we returned their attacks in kind.
The fight culminated with the house sinking to the bottom of the lake, and although Rakku had been knocked unconcious, we came out generally victorious. One of the quicklings was defeated, and the other ended up fleeing. That could definitely be interpreted as a win. After returning to the leshies with their stick in tow, we received a few rewards and returned back to First Landing.
