A midnight-blue fairy(?), about 2 feet tall, with fragile, insectile wings; large eyes without pupils; long, pointed ears; and a bulbous, horned head. Ombretta is skittish, careful, without much trust for anything or anyone, almost paranoid at times, and uncomfortable in the light that makes her visible and shimmer like starry glitter. She much prefers keeping to the shadows, where she is unseen.
She is tending to the sun shrines in the Temple of the Two Suns, together with Marsyas; while he works as the emissary from Eleutheria, the Purple Barony, she is the envoy of Avilion, the Golden Barony. They seem to have a sort of friendship, though Marsyas shows it much more than she does, but she does trust him more than others.
While her presence was suspected for some time, she was actually encountered properly for the first time during the quest Wildest Dreams. She knows Oran, one of the Fey visitors from Avilion, who was seen in First Landing during the First Annual Lunar New Year Tournament.
Ombretta is not a Sprite, but a Lurker in Twilight - a creature similar to Lurker in Light, but who is invisible in shadow instead in sunlight.
