Participants: Ninivit, Akhelios Mildspire, Eleanore, Rhuz, Khirl Galesinger

Location(s): Sea of Stone

Short summary: Party went out to investigate the source of a message in a bottle asking for rescue. They at first encountered two people claiming to be the message's senders; they were however revealed to be shapeshifters. Interrogation of one of them was fruitless, with it being killed being a giant wave before they told the truth. Zombies then attacked the ship, and were promptly dispatched. The party continued investigating, eventually finding the real sender, and helping him kill a monstruous Sea Serpent.

Loose Threads: The zombies from the depths, the origin of the shapeshifters

Full report:

We were sent out to look into a rescue message that had been found, with a rough location. Took a boat to the area, where we found a strange ship. Thing was riddled with holes, should have sunk long ago. On board, we find two shifty people. It took a bit of back and forth, but we eventually found out they were shapeshifters, with heads covered in tentacles and whatnot. A short brawl ensued, and we captured one alive. We tried to make him talk, but he kept lying to us. And stranger yet, a great wave arose from the depths to sweep him off of the deck and to his death!

It wasn't long after that zombies came up from below the ship and tried to do us in. Never thought much about how strong one of those could be but I expected more. We took care of the problem quickly and went on our way.

Eventually, we found a small island with an orc on it that turned out to be the guy we were looking for. Seems like he had some problems with a big water snake of some sort, so we decided to stay over the night to remove it. Now what nobody expected was the zombies again, and flanked by huge skeletons this time. The snake was there too, and this is the weird part: it was waiting! As soon as we got rid of the undead and were a bit weakened by the ordeal, it swooped in to try and do us in! It was a close call, and Eleanore was definitely key in keeping us up.

Anyway, we eventually killed the snake and headed home. The undead thing is very weird though.
