Full Report

CassielFelmireBanOctavian Purcell and Valdri Seiorsdottir met at the The Blinking Pug to discuss a monster hunt of some kind. While they were talking, a farmer named Jack burst into the tavern saying that he had been attacked by a creature, one he suspected had been somewhat regularly killing his goats. The party checked if he was okay, did some basic first aid while the got some details from him, then headed out to where he said he had been. Cassiel carried Octavian Purcell for the sake of expediency as the latter was out of sorts at night.

When they arrived in giant mole territory they soon found a dead mole and investigated, finding a strange liquid in a large wound and that something had clawed up the mole as if with a sword. While investigating, they were beset by two giant moles and a swarm of rats that they were chasing to eat. One was killed quickly, and the rats quickly dispatched, and the second mole ran off after taking a decent bite out of Octavian Purcell. After that interruption, they were able to find and follow tracks to a copse. There they encountered what they assumed to be their quarry, a creature that ambushed them and injured Felmire. The other reacted quickly, injuring it in turn and forcing it to temporarily retreat up a tree, returning to the fight after they split up to search for it. It quickly fell after that and reverted back to be a snake-person instead of a weresnake.

Following the fight they searched to find any clues who this was, finding a sack of loot and a letter in a language none of them could speak. They took that and headed to Jack's farm to check on him, not finding any evidence of infection and acquiring a baby goat named Iselda. From there, their job complete, they headed back to town for rest.
