Full Report

A few days ago, our party left First Landing to investigate the Serpentfolk advancement under the Greyspine Mountains, lest they destroy our entire civilization if they aren't stopped.

Along the way, we met six goblin siblings. They were hungry and afraid, for their home was taken over by a Barghest demon pretending to be their leader. Their little group was too scared to fight back, but while trekking along the moutains we were faced with a Basilisk that turned one of them to stone, and through my impeccable leadership, I convinced them to fight and defeat the monster. That gave them the courage to face the demon in the end, bravely sacrificing their lives to give our party enough time to finally kill the fiend and free the rest of their people.

While we grieved their deaths very much, we still had a mission to do, and bravely explored the tunnel system under the goblin cave, where the demon was eating Serpentfolk to gain their abilities. There, we met a giant fey fish who loved to share stories, and through my also impeccable storytelling skills, he decided to give us a gift, a dwarven key

Along with the key, we also had a map from a Serpentfolk that led us to a building in the middle of the cave. There, we defeated two of the snake people, and deduced that the rest had entered the building, although their ability to make progress inside is dubious if they lack the key. With all that info in our hands, we decided to Recall, as we were caught in an ambush by a talking table

Peter adds: This "talking table" was probably a Mimic, and also, whilst I couldn't understand its words, it triggered various bones on the floor to start animating. It also was shouting as loud as it could, which was somewhat louder than I would be able to. It seemed likely that a group of serpentfolk would come rushing in after we had clearly landed in a trap. Those of us who were fighting in melee were badly injured after fighting only two serpentfolk (including Lia unconscious and Clayfang poisoned), so a group of guards was the last thing we wanted. I may be brave, but I'm not suicidal.

**Along with the report, Lia attaches the map to the building and the dwarven key, so any other party investigating the place can use them**
