Loose threads The Tooth of Knowledge's Tablet, the Observatory's ability to change certain portal destinations

The party traveled to the The Great Library to follow up on loose threads from a prior quest. It was there they encountered the Tooth of Knowledge, who implored them to obtain a magic tablet thought to pertain to the Serpentfolk. The party acquiesced and ventured deeper into the Library, only to stumble into an observatory occupied by magic mirrors, a few undead and eventually, a few hostile clones. After a tense fight, the party managed to clear the room and destroy the mirrors, but were unable to continue exploring the Library. Some information of note that the party was unable to use for themselves included the fact that the Observatory could have been used to change the destinations of the portals the Tooth of Knowledge mentioned.
