Investigated a vault that serpentfolk were seen entering previously. Found a number of dead serpenfolk, fought several mechanical creatures and then discovered an army of robots.

Our party set out on a four day trip to the Dragon's Tail. Upon arriving we entered cavern system that Neguth was able to help us navigate from prior travels. After several hours we arrived an enormous vaulted door which was cracked open just large enough for us to pass through.
Just inside the vault we found a ransacked museum of sorts with three columns containing a statue on each:
- A humanoid statue half naked and half bisected to show a skeleton of gears and pistons
- A three headed dragon of silver and gold scales with mechanical jaws and tail
We were ambushed by mechanical spiders before we could investigate the third column. After dispatching with the bugs we proceeded to find a control room, but could only make out a vague map of the vault and had no idea on what the controls might do. We also found the remaining living members of the serpentfolk behind a locked door. The survivors were able to make a safe escape with the mechanical spiders destroyed.
The party continued to investigate the vault and stumbled upon an alchemy lab inhabited by a haunt. Thanks to the god Nalinivati we were able to banish this haunt to another plane. Several more rooms were investigated and more dead serpentfolk and evidence of mechanical beings were discovered.
A large room was discovered that contained an army of robots. Initially none showed any signs of life. At the other end of this room was the leader of the serpentfolk that Neguth had met on a prior encounter at the entrance to the vault. The leader was unconscious and before we could assist him one of the automatons came to life and attacked us. Simultaneously a skeleton attacked the party. The party was ill-prepared for such an encounter and we made little progress in defeating the foes before deciding to return to first landing.
