Seacoil is the wooden figurehead of Banyan Surfer, the seafaring vessel of Lord Asculith, carved to look like a Hydra. It is actually a Wood Unknown called a Carved Beast, and thus alive and sentient, fulfilling the duties of the Boatswain.
