Ielah Yelah was born into a family of nomads in crisis. Misfortune seemed to have been following the clan for generations as every place they moved to was struck with either magical or mundane disasters. They moved further and further into lands far more colder and sunless than they were used to. The last disaster left just her and her elderly grandparents where she, born into the Tundra was more acclimatized and able to hunt and provide. A large club and a bow were her inheritance and she used them both in her foraging expediition. Falling sick in their old age, they finally stopped in a cave, as they could travel no longer and her grandfather, as a final gesture of affection and thanks to the dutiful Ielah, reached into the last of his connection to the primal energies and called forth a young wolf to be her companion. They both moved on to the River of Souls soon after. Ielah moved on and manged to get some work as a guide with which she was able to barter for better equipment but there was nothing tying her to the old world, so when she heard of a portal to the new... she, and her companion Woolf decided to take the plunge and join the Explorer's Guild
