Eli McKinney

Eli McKinney comes from a long line of moonshiners and smugglers from the hills around Dongun Hold. Self described as a hillbilly dwarf and darn proud of it! One night there was a righteous storm over the hills that trashed his personal moonshine still. The only bit of drink left in the bottom of it was glowing a mighty strange blue color. He had ta take a sip of it and it did something mighty funny. Unknown to him the still have absorbed some of the Godsrain and when he drank that divine moon shine, he became an exemplar and it forever changed him. He became what most call an Undine. Someone as accustomed to the water as the land, and any new scars began to glow a dull blue color. He began to stand out and be easily noticed. In a trade like his where you want to go as unnoticed as possible, he started getting pinned for a lot of trouble, whether he caused it or not.

So he left his hills and headed towards the sea. He became a smuggler on the sea, and as his new self allowed, a smuggler under it as well. He became friends with undersea societies and acted as a sort of middle dwarf between them and land. Eventually he heard about the portal to the New World and decided he could take a chance and head that way to find new smuggling opportunities
