UNCOMMON MAGICAL CONJURATION TELEPORTATION Usage worn; Bulk neglible A Recaller is an artifact given by the Explorers' Guild to all adventurers that operate in the New World, which takes a form preferred by the adventurer. The Recaller is keyed to the Portal in First Landing, and linked to both the adventurer and any current possessions or creatures that are considered to be owned by them. This device is worn by its user and cannot be removed. Its function cannot be impeded, disrupted, or counteracted. Outside of encounters, a character can activate their Recaller or that of another willing character within Reach at any time, though customarily they are used to recall adventurers at the conclusion of completed quests. Upon activation in this way, any creatures and objects the artifact is linked to safely return to First Landing. A recaller automatically activates in the event of its wearer's death, returning their corpse and linked possessions to First Landing. Once a player has used their Recaller, their part in the quest is considered to have concluded. They receive any rewards for challenges successfully completed prior to recalling, but none for challenges abandoned. During Encounters, the Recaller may be activated with the Evacuate action. Evacuate :aaa: Effect: Returns the owner, as well as their possessions and owned creatures back to the Portal at First Landing. If activating another character's Recaller for them, this action gains the Manipulate trait. This activity may be split over multiple turns, but no other actions or reactions may be taken until the activity is completed. |
