Chemical weapons are present in Oceanyka with a dangerous level of proliferation, but not apocalyptic levels. The main three agents used are Chlorine gas (which is easy to produce but mild and obvious), mustard gas (which is stronger than Chlorine, mutagenic, carcinogenic and a painful blistering agent) and Sarin (which requires advanced infrastructure and training, but is impossible to detect without specialised equipment and can wreck the nervous system in a matter of minutes). Like other WMDs, they are forbidden for storage or use by any faction that does not have a major seat in the Oceanykan Council.
