The Heckler & Koch PSG1 is a German sniper rifle that was introduced in the late 1960s to both arm the Deutsches Heer with a capable semi-automatic rifle and to provide police units such as the GSG-9 with fast, precise firepower, all-too important as the International War on Terror began in earnest. At its introduction, it was one of the very few high precision semi-automatic rifles. It features a free-floating octagonal barrel and a ZF 6x42 PSG1 telescopic sight. While it requires special care and cannot be handled as roughly as the G3 can, its capabilities are unmatched by anything in the rifle's family tree.

EFFECT:
At the beginning of an Engagement, designate one enemy as this weapon's Designated Target.
Add a Very Easy DM to its hit rolls if it is used to attack said enemy.
If this weapon kills its Designated Target, select another one from amongst the remaining enemy creatures.

The Deutsches Heer of the mid-1960s is one of the most well-trained and experienced terrestrial fighting forces in the world. Some of this can be traced back to its Prussian traditions, some to Germany's near-permanent state of war since 1914, some to Berlin's imaginative staff officers, always trying to predict the next war and be ready for it. The German soldier serves in the same army as his father did, and the same as his grandfather did, but it is war that changes, and he is ready for it.

This weapon's wielder gains a +2 DET bonus specifically when rolling against Dread-causing effects.
