A variant of the Chrysler XM1 Abrams serving as a technology demonstrator, the XM1A is an American main battle tank equipped with the Rheinmetall Rh-120 Tank Gun, full NBC sealingremote weapon station for the commander, bleeding-edge satellite navigation equipment and a digital data bus that transmits data within the tank and across the battlefield. US combat doctrine shifted in the late 20th century toward "AirLand Battle" In the ground, this means emphasizing synchronized, high-speed manoeuvre and the use of superior technology, such as advanced optics and digital fire control systems, to strike the enemy from distances they cannot hope to return. American tankers at the eve of World War III are trained to "see first, shoot first, and kill first."

Unique Attributes

Crew First - M1 Abrams UA

The M1 Abrams series of MBTs is renowned for its exceptional crew survivability. They contain a number of "blowout panels" that prevent fuel or ammunition cookoffs from affecting the fighting crew, as well as a variety of automatic and manual fire extinguishers. While this can do little for a crewman in the way of an APFSDS dart, it can prevent the others from dying gruesome and unnecessary deaths.

EFFECT:
This vehicle possesses +1 Critical Hit Resistance, meaning to land a Critical Hit, the enemy must land one point higher during the Armour Saving Throw.
Additionally, this vehicle is immune to ammunition cookoff as a result of an enemy landing a Critical Hit.
