š·ļø Sylvera the Silkfang
Debt Handler | Blade of the Wheelmarked
āA coin for your trouble, a kiss for your silence, and a knife for your hesitation.ā
šļø Appearance
Sylvera moves like curling smoke across polished stoneāgraceful, patient, and always just out of reach. She wears ash-grey leathers that glimmer faintly like oil on water, tailored to suggest elegance without sacrificing deadliness. Her cloak, lined in garnet velvet, trails like a blood memory behind her.
Her hair is wound into elaborate braids held fast with fine silver pins, rumored to double as tools for poisoning or lockpickingāor both. Her eyes are obsidian dark, glassy and depthless, revealing nothing but reflecting everything.
She wears gloves as a rule, but among the Guild, it's well known what lies beneath:
-
The broken wheel brand seared into the back of her left handābold and angry.
-
A second, fainter mark glows on her right wrist in low light⦠a sign that she has died once alreadyāand still owes.
š Mannerisms
-
Voice: Low and conspiratorial, as if each word is a shared secret.
-
Smile: Faint and lopsided, only at the cornersāno teeth unless itās a threat.
-
Touch: Intimate but calculatedāsheāll rest a hand lightly on a shoulder or cheek when making a point.
-
Presence: She never raises her voice. Even threats are whispered like promises.
šÆļø Public Demeanor
To the unknowing, Sylvera is a well-dressed fixer and information broker with connections across Ashkarinās darker districts. She keeps no visible office, but holds court in a gilded parlor chamber within the Wheelmarked Guildhall, known by whispers as The Silk Nest. It lies hidden in the tunnels beneath the Clipped Coin, lit by candlelight and echoing with distant screams from the fighting pits.
Here, surrounded by soft velvet chairs, songbirds in gilded cages, and the scent of incense and danger, she listens, she smiles, and she deals.
š”ļø Reputation
Among the Wheelmarked, Sylvera is equal parts ambition and aftermath.
-
To Fledglings, sheās the hand that offers opportunity.
-
To debtors, sheās the whisper that comes before the fall.
-
To veterans, sheās a reminder that no one ever really pays off the Guild.
Itās said sheās made dozens of careersāand ended just as many. One truth remains among the rogues of Ashkarin:
If Sylvera offers you a job, say yes.
Because you wonāt like what she offers next.
