Also called Therianthropes,  Were-creatures or Polymorphs, are supernaturals with the ability to shapeshift forms from that of a normal human to that of an animal. In contrary to Skin-thieves, Therians are mare Mortals called upon by a Deity to become their children. Under technicality all Nahuals are children of Malinalxóchit despite being children of their own individual patrons.

In a greater level Nahuals generally group themselves around regional Lodges instead of grandiose conspiracies. Those shifters who willingly enter a Lodge must swore an oath, this oath is unique for each lodge but are generally set by a Xilotēki sent by their patron. Those Nahuals that haven't pledge themselves to a lodge either because they have not encounter one and either reject their nature are called Ronin or Ghosts.

In a minor, barrio to barrio, level a group of affiliated liked minded Nahuals are called a Pack.
