The Cerniniths are were-stag Nahuals who act behalf of their parent deity Khonvoum as its sovereigns and heralds of the eternal Hunt. They dedicate themselves to lead hunts against those things that threaten their community.

The auspices they receive are conditioned by the season they went their first change:

  • Autumn (Drevarn):  Manipulators who thrive on fear, affecting the mind of their targets is their forte. Their gifts are related to not only exploit their foes cogito to their advantage but also the ones of their allies by allowing them to maintain cohesion and pull other Nahuals off of frenzy or madness.
  • Winter (Kulveth): Cold blooded string pullers who ravel in the shadows by exploiting its targets indirectly rather than open confrontation. As leaders of the hunts this Cerninith are good at maintaining and managing a web of contacts, retainers and other related assets in favour of their pack.
  • Spring (Halrun): They are renown hunters who's glory and voice are unmatched even by the most famous and talented bard.
  • Summer (Zarrek): The arrow of Khonvoum, this hunters do not dwell in bullshit rather they prefer to strike when their prey is the weakest.

The Cerninith cannot tolerate Jet (Azabache) since it hurts them both spiritually and physically similarly to how silver hurts the Lobizon. However additionally to this weakness, a Cerninith can be killed with the antler of another haunted and killed Cerninith. Weapons forged out of fallen Cerninith antlers are considered to be a huge taboo that signifies dishonor and desecration from one Nahual to another, thus only hunters and estranged children use this kind of weapons against the Cerninith. It is said that whoever kills a Cerninith has the capability of usurping and gaining its gifts for a time even if they are just a normal mortal.
