After the recent war, relief funds were used to rebuild the city as the many craters left behind by bombardment are now filled with flowers, plenty of canals have been dug through the city, inspired by the design of Yorrith as at night it provides ambient light from the bio luminescent algae. But compared to the faint green glow, in Lumen the mentat of House Kairos has managed to engineer these to be able to produce other colors, turning the underside of streets into true shows of light.
Another local monument is the most popular bakery on the planet - the Secret Ingredient. Rumors have it that during the siege of the city, the noble family and their staff coordinated the resistance from this building. It serves the best cakes on the planet, as well as wide variety of pastries. In recent years it got famous for selling it's own drinks which have also been a hit with the general public.
While it lack's Yorrith's scale, Lumen's beauty is much more subdued, humble and closer to nature. The lack of large structures, as the city promotes a more cozy, down to earth feeling, has earned it much appreciation amongst many circles.
